Is this an outlet store now? This store is dirty. They don't even bother stocking shelves they just drop it on the floor and put a price sign in front of it. The shelves are empty or low stock. There are shopping carts all over the store full of clearance items that look like they've been sitting in a warehouse for a year. The bakery items taste bad compared to other Kroger stores.
Usually no problems with this store. Shopped at store last evening. The store was a mess. Boxes in aisles. Which is a safety issue. Meat department had a terrible smell. Bins have not been cleaned by that smell. Family size Townhouse crackers displayed as sale item. Cashier seemed unconcerned when I showed her the photo of display. How hard is it to put the right sign with right product. Is this false advertisement? I always thank cashier and bagger. Bagger did not respond with a blank look. I’ll try again hoping just a bad day, week…I hope this store is not declining as other Kroger’s have in the last few years and closed. Closures impact the community. Kroger you are better than this. I did note other reviews that were not addressed. The only reason I gave two star was the Senior Day.
I have gone to the same Kroger for at least 30 years. Except for some stocking and a couple rude employees I hope to continue. Most all of the employees are super helpful! There are a few individuals in this store I would happily give 10 stars to. The gentleman who always works the back self checkout is one. However I just left all my groceries in the self checkout at the front of the store because that young man is always rude and this evening he was the worst! It's Friday.
Three problems we have noticed. Front end store manager woman is rude, never enough checkouts and the office is never open. Other than those issues, we like shopping at the Georgesville Square Krogers and hope it stays open!
Their prices have gone up, and up, and up. Now about a dollar more than everywhere other local store, sometimes more. They're also skimping anywhere they can, with store made or packaged products, especially in the meat department.
This kroger has some stocking and checkout issues but the employees are wonderful. Gwendolyn and Betty are always friendly and strike up a conversation with us and will go out of their way to make sure we have what we need or are looking for. The person working at the sushi counter on the weekends also seems to take pride in their position. Meat counter staff are friendly too.
I no longer shop at that store after living in this community for over 25 years. There is one employee named Josh who has ran me off and I take my money and I go to Hoover Road or Stringtown Apparently he now works in the liquor store that I feel it's unacceptable that you allow an employee to be that rude to your customers. Now I go to giant eagle Stringtown or Hoover if I need anything.
The front end store manager has terrible customer service skills. I went there one time to ask if I could return an item I bought at a different Kroger and she rudely said " no, because you're not gonna ruin my stores inventory." Then I went there the other day, trying to use a coupon that I had used there several times before (the coupon listed kroger as an approved retailer), and the manager said "we dont take that, our computers dont take them". When I explained I had used them before, she just repeated herself rudely. Dont know how this girl got a job working with people with 0 customer service skills. This Kroger is the closest store to my home, and I will go out of my way to go somewhere else.
